It is critically important for every person to be a part of our democracy. Civic engagement empowers our DSST Community to influence policy, values and government priorities. This means voting in local, state and national elections.

Return Your Vote By Mail
You can return your ballot by mail! Return your completed ballot by mail by Monday, October 30th to make sure it is received by the November 7th deadline. You can track your mail-in ballot by signing up for BallotTrax. Colorado TXT2 Cure allows voters to resolve problems with their mail ballots.
Vote in Person
You can vote in person! If you want to vote in person, you can return your mail ballot at a polling center. Once you vote in person, your county clerk will not accept any ballot that was mailed to you. Do not complete your mail ballot if you are voting in person. Bring an acceptable form of ID to your polling location to vote in person by 7pm on November 7th.

Mark Your Calendar With Important Election Deadlines
October 30th
October 30th is the last day to complete voter registration online to receive a mail in ballot. You can still vote in person after October 30th.
October 30th
Last recommended day to mail back your completed ballot. Mail in ballots completed after October 30th should be returned to a drop off box to ensure they are counted.
November 7th
Colorado is a same-day voter registration state! This means that you can register to vote and cast a ballot in person on Election Day! Show up at the ballot box with a valid ID to register and vote.
November 7th at 7pm
Any mail-in ballots received after 7pm will not be counted. In-person voters must be in line to vote by 7pm to be counted. Please account for wait times and traffic when voting in person.
